E/I – Tele Op operational Planner / Scheduler

Reporting directly to the Planning & Reliability Supervisor, the E/I – Tele Op operational Planner / Scheduler role is to work together with Maintenance team to improve workforce productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays throughout the operation.


  • Schedule, obtain procured materials and contracted services according to authorization limits.
  • Prepare and prioritize Automation Technicians' work schedule.
  • Support Automation Technician to install and troubleshoot operational technology systems
  • Plan capacity for support equipment, logistics, manpower, and workshop space.
  • Filter, prioritize, and arrange for the approval of work requests from all sources.
  • Provide a disciplined approach to change management ensuring testing procedures have been carried out prior to production rollout.
  • Review existing systems and identify areas for improvement in the areas of scalability, maintainability, and performance
  • Populate schedules for E&I backlog and support teams as required
  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned


  • Strong knowledge in electrical technology with an Electrical Technologist degree or equivalent experience in the technology field
  • Five to ten years progressively responsible experience in operation technology application
  • Must have exposure to general business functions and business process redesign for operating efficiency gains and cost reduction.
  • Experience working with vendors, dealers, consultants and other contracted services.
  • Directs the resolution of business problems applying analytical  thought and judgment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership qualities, experience, and the ability to achieve results through others.
  • Proficient with SAP and work order structure.
  • Self-driven individual focused on service with strong skills for issue resolution
  • Ability to identify problems, make decisions, create solutions, and take action.
  • Influences business through improved understanding of technology issues, balances competing priorities within maintenance and technology groups

Working Conditions

The schedule for this position will consist of 10 hr Shift 4 days on / 3 days off rotation working out of Thunder Bay office.
