The Exploration Project Engineer/Geologist is part of the exploration team. Primarily, they participate in drilling campaigns and the compilation of geological exploration and resource definition data, both regionally and underground. They also handle the financial tracking, accruals, and invoices for the department.

Description

  • Participate in surface and underground drilling campaigns
  • Participate in exploration work and mine development
  • Describe drill cores and perform surface mapping
  • Update and monitor geological interpretation
  • Track departmental finances, invoices, and accruals
  • Adhere to, understand, and promote company regulations and policies, particularly regarding health and safety
  • Perform all tasks related to the exercise of their functions

Requirements

  • University degree in geology or geological engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mining sector
  • Knowledge of the mining title management system in Quebec is considered an asset
  • Knowledge and proficiency in MDM (Deswik), GED, and ArcGIS software
  • Bilingualism is an asset
  • Possesses or is in the process of becoming a member of the Order of Geologists or Engineers of Quebec

Working Conditions

  • Schedule: 40 hours/week, 4 days on and 3 days off
  • Schedule shared between remote work and presence at the Éléonore mine
