About the role
The mine trainer is part of the mining training and safety team and is responsible developing training programs for all mining operations. He/she identifies training requirements and trains workers. He/she identifies and targets the training needs and priorities and trains the workers, while ensuring diligent follow-up and traceability of the training provided.
Essential Duties
- En collaboration avec l'équipe de formateurs et la gestion de la mine, évaluer les postes de travail et identifier les besoins de formations
- Développer des programmes de formation qui respectent les normes en vigueur (CNESST, CSOB, etc.)
- Donner de la formation théorique et pratique à l’ensemble des travailleurs du secteur mine, soit : formation sur les modules miniers (FMTM), formation sur l’équipement mobile sous terre et à la surface, formation SST et similateur
- Coordonner la logistique des formations et être responsable de son horaire
- Produire des documents de suivi des formations afin d’assurer l’émission des cartes ou certificats de compétences s’il y a lieu
- Respecter, connaître et promouvoir les règlements et politiques de l’entreprise, particulièrement en matière de santé-sécurité
- S’assure de l’intégration des employés cris, en favorisant une approche intégrante fondée sur le développement des compétences essentielles
- Toutes tâches connexes à l’exercice de ses fonctions comme la création de nouvelle formation pour de nouveaux équipements et besoins.
Training & Experience
- High school diploma
- Minimum 10 years work experience in the mining industry
- Previous training experience an asset
- Mining worker modular training accreditation (M.W.M.T.)
- Computer knowledge and knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Bilingualism, French & English essential
