The relief mechanic is part of the process maintenance department. The incumbent is responsible for the periodic maintenance of fixed equipment. He/she also provides support to the mechanic foreperson.

Essential Duties

  • Support the mechanic foreman in his daily tasks
  • Ensure the replacement of the mechanic foreperson during his absence
  • Ensure that all health and safety procedure are followed et respected
  • Develop and implement working procedures
  • Be able to conduct safety and goal oriented start of day meetings
  • Ensure execution of the work schedule according to the established planning
  • Perform the maintenance of fixed equipment so as to optimize their availability and reliability for operations
  • All other related tasks 

Training & Experience

  • College diploma or Professional diploma in fixed mechanic
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experiences
  • Valid driver’s licence

Working Conditions

  • Eleonore mine site (Fly-in, Fly-out)
  • Schedule : 14 days of work followed by 14 days off
