Senior Manager, Cyber Security Delivery

Responsible for day-to-day oversight, planning, and delivery of cybersecurity solutions across global operating entities (corporate and regions).  Operational involvement with cybersecurity, IT governance, 3rd party managed security services provider, policy and standards, vulnerability and patch management programs, and general day-to-day security operations.

About this role



The Sr. Manager, Cyber Security Delivery is responsible for effective day-to-day delivery of information security systems and solutions across our global information technology landscape. Includes oversight and guidance of onsite and remote staff consultants and staff augmentation resources to carry out day-to-day management of security solutions.

The role supports the day-to-day strategic delivery of the enterprise information cybersecurity program and serves to enable the mitigation of risks from existing and evolving vulnerabilities from Newmont’s onsite, offshore and cloud solutions.

The Sr. Manager works closely with the Cybersecurity leadership to identify and support future cybersecurity program development by consistently identifying opportunities to improve Newmont’s threat posture.

The Sr. Manager has oversight for the successful execution of cyber tools, processes, and network / system solutions that are deployed to Newmont’s ICT solutions globally.

The Sr. Manager supports the execution of network and systems penetration tests, incident response and management, overseeing vulnerability assessment scans and remediation, oversight of ongoing patch management program, and other day-to-day operational upkeep of critical security processes.

The Sr. Manager supports general IT computing controls including technical support of internal and external audit requirements.

The Sr. Manager is responsible for integration and management of essential 3rd party security servicesand delivery consultants/augmentation staff.

Your Training, skills, and experience checklist

Oversees ongoing threat remediation by driving successful patch and vulnerability management programs in conjunction with our service provider partners and other Newmont staff.

Works closely with the IT Security & Compliance, Enterprise Architecture, Business Engagement, and Infrastructure groups to align cyber security strategy and the ongoing support of the program.

Provide input to and execution of continuous improvement initiatives, in conjunction with Director IT Security and Compliance for existing risk management, security, and day-to-day managed security services and process.

Provide input and oversight for projects and initiatives within cybersecurity.


Your Training, skills, and experience checklist


10+ years of overall experience across IT infrastructure (systems and/or network)

4+ years IT security with experience in mining industry preferred, but not necessary.

Ability to directly lead internal and outsourced teams

Industry awareness of current IT Security trends and best practices (technology, risk management, vulnerability management, patch management)

Ability to coordinate and drive results across multiple different disciplines within IT and Cyber Security.

Able to effectively communicate cyber awareness with all levels in the organization.

Bachelor's Degree required

Master's Degree in Cyber related field preffered



Skills and Abilities:

Ability to develop, communicate and implement IT cyber related strategies

Ability to lead and influence teams across many disparate departments

Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.

Must have ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office suite


Working Conditions

The position will sit in the Greenwood Village, CO Corporate Office.
