Intern - IT Strategy Planning & Governance

Information Technology is an integrated business partner delivering efficient and effective services to drive value creation.  We partner with the operations and global functions to deliver new solutions and capabilities based on customer requirements.  We provide guidance and standards to ensure the company leverages existing technologies, standardizes on common technologies and operates in a secure and compliant manner.

Essential Duties


As an intern, you will be responsible for contributing to specific Information Technology projects, as well as supporting the day-to-day activities of our department. The exact projects will be established according to your availability, interest, skills, and experience, in addition to the specific business needs.


Possible project contributions include:

  • Support of IT Projects by analyzing operational details and tracking financials
  • General support to the IT Strategy, Planning and Governance team
  • Participate in Project Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Support development of scopes of work with vendors and purchasing/invoicing process
  • Creation of business presentations and related documentation
  • Contribute to project design discussions
  • Research and assist with the improvement and documentation of existing processes
  • Exposure to system administration for collaboration tools (SharePoint, Smartsheets, etc.)


The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work; other work may also be assigned.

Training & Experience


  • Undergraduate/Graduate students preferred, graduating in December 2020 or later – (pursuing degrees in Finance/Accounting, Business, or Computer Science/Management Information Systems and related areas). We will consider other similar disciplines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Passion to work in a high energy/fast-paced/culturally diverse environment
  • Strong organization, project and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfort engaging with senior leaders and global teams
  • Strong research methods capability and writing skills
  • At least a 3.0 GPA or equivalent
  • Valid work authorization to work in the United States for this position.
Working Conditions


  • This is a full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer months, paid internship that will run from approximately April 2020 thru September 2020 depending on the selected student's school schedule.
  • This role will be located at our Corporate Headquarters located in Greenwood Village, CO.
