About this role

Deliver various Talent Management, Leadership Development and Inclusion and Diversity global programs; ensuring alignment and efficiencies, providing insights from research and data, and project managing key global and corporate specific projects and initiatives
The Talent Management Specialist also contributes to scoping of projects and initiatives in support of the global operations and functions (e.g., current state analysis, talent development program implementation, leadership development programs, Business Resource Group programs, employee surveys, etc.).

The role may report into other senior managers (e.g. Senior Manager, Leadership Development or Senior Manager, Inclusion and Diversity) and may also coordinate with Senior Director Talent Management, Inclusion and Diversity, corporate HRBPs, Regional TM Leads, Regional I&D leads 

Your role will consist of

Talent Management

  • Support programs and processes to progress the talent management strategy, including the annual performance management program, talent assessment & succession planning and expat assignment management
  • Support Newmont’s university strategy and Graduate Development 
  • Help measure the efficacy of talent strategies in support of our continuous improvement philosophy and identify opportunities based on organizational data and trends
  • Sustain talent-related HRIS (SuccessFactors) modules and provide regional reporting
  • Deliver training and coaching in alignment with global talent philosophy
  • Partner with Senior Manager, TM to creatively advance the key priorities related to Newmont’s culture (Employee Experience, Talent Philosophy, Culture of Feedback)
  • Assist in the development of tools and support for succession planning and talent assessment initiatives
  • Research and Project manage the global roll out of Newmont’s Global Employee Survey and other listening strategies
  • Contribute to other Talent Management workstreams and initiatives as needed 

Leadership Development

  • Support the development, rollout, and sustainment of leadership development programs to a global audience
  • Lead communication and change management for global and corporate office specific leadership development programs
  • Coordinate the assessment of global learning opportunities to support the improvement of leadership development strategies
  • Analyze global Leadership Development metrics; identifying themes, insights and providing reports for various stakeholders

Inclusion and Diversity

  • Lead various research and studies on design, delivery, and communication of Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) projects, programs, training, policies and guidelines.
  • Support I&D senior managers and regional I&D leads to implement inclusion and diversity action plans
  • Support the delivery of commitments as per the global Inclusion & Diversity Strategy
  • Lead various BRG initiatives and support Business Resource Group (BRG) initiation efforts at corporate and sometimes in region to progress programs aligned to the Inclusion & Diversity Strategy and business priorities
  • Deliver skill building programs and upskill HR teams, BRG Leaders, employees
  • Partner on Talent Attraction and Talent Retention specific initiatives as needed Report on the delivery of the Inclusion & Diversity Strategy and track progress towards representation and development targets
  • Support the development and implementation of an inclusion and diversity focused talent retention strategy
  • Provide Inclusion & Diversity research and data analysis; insights and reports

Your training, skills, and experience checklist

  • University degree in human resources, psychology, organizational development or another related field
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of human resources experience or project/ change management experience
  • Excellent relationship management and collaborations skills across all levels, and an ability to influence others by establishing trust and credibility
  • Growth mindset paired with a strong desire to continuously seek out improvement opportunities 
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills along with facilitation and organizational change experience
  • Role modeling of inclusive behavior with a proven dedication to personal learning, continuous improvement and cultural proficiency
  • Demonstrated contribution to building inclusive work environments and a diverse talent pool; understanding of dynamics and needs related to historically marginalized groups
  • Strong research and project management skills; attention to detail and complete follow-through; ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables
  • Ability to collect and analyze data, produce reports and identify key insights
  • Ability to work within a multinational corporation and collaborate across matrix relationships and cultures; ability to maintain a balanced regional perspective without losing sight of operationally relevant local nuances

Working conditions and location

  • The position is located at the Corporate Office (with flexible work arrangements)
  • Position may require very occasional travel  

The salary range offered for this role is $80,410 - 99,330. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.  The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.   

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
