About this role

What will you be responsible for?

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining RMS documentation in collaboration with other RMS team members or functional areas.
  • Maintaining the RMS content on the homepage, providing accessible information to the organization about the risk program.
  • Supporting functional teams in using the Enablon system to capture risk management activities and data. 
  • Supports functional teams in the adoption of the RMS program and actively assembling and reporting data for risks and  assurance activities to show outcomes of the RMS activities at Newmont.


Your role will consist of

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:

  • We develop and maintain RMS standards and documentation which provide the requirements for risk management activities at Newmont
  • Develop and maintain the RMS homepage on Discovery
  • Support functional leaders in performance of RMS requirements including risk review, control verification, and reporting. 
  • Administer and maintain the RMS technology platform (Enablon) which houses risk management data.
  • Support functional leaders in updating risk management content in the Enablon system. 
  • We develop a coordinated audit schedule for functional teams to verify controls are operating as intended to mitigate risk at corporate, regions and sites.
  • Collate annual site availability for audits / verifications and ensure functional verification frequency provides adequate coverage.
  • Collate audit findings from verficiation efforts performed and consolidate reporting for distribution to functional leaders.
  • Maintain training program for verification program auditors
  • Coordinate trained audit teams identified by each functional owner to ensure regional and site visits are efficient.
  • We develop RMS reporting to ensure the program is actively adopted and support functions in developing Key Risk Indicators to evaluate effectiveness of risk management activities.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or other Relevant area of Business


  • Background in risk management, controls, assurance or audit
  • Experience with risk management software (e.g. Enablon) and scheduling software (e.g. Projects)
  • Experience in writing corporate documents and standards

Skills and Abilities:

  • Self-starter willing to resolve problems quickly and collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
  • Spanish language skills are a plus

Working conditions and location

Where you will be located!

  • The position is located in the Denver corporate office
  • Position may be required limited travel to other domestic and international sites, on an exception basis.

The salary range offered for this role is $66,000 to 86,625. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.  The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.   

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
