Warehouse Technician I - CC&V

Purpose

 

Are you looking for an opportunity to gain experience in the mining industry while utilizing your warehousing experience?

Essential Duties

 

  • Receive materials and supplies by common carrier, express delivery service, United Parcel Service (UPS) and company trucks including filling out appropriate paperwork and inspecting materials
  • Record and compare quantity of material received with vendor documentation indicating discrepancies such as overages, shortages and damages in accordance with policy and procedure
  • Respond immediately to 'emergency' requirements and equipment breakdowns to support operational requirements
  • Read, comprehend, interpret and learn Material Safety Data Sheets, labels on products, warning signs, and instructional manuals to prevent loss of personnel, property and process
  • Complete discrepancy reports and perform computer system data entry from receiving documentation in accordance with established policy and procedure

Training & Experience

 

To be considered for this position, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Must have 1 to 2 years warehouse experience, preferably in a mining or industrial environment; 2 to 3 years’ experience would be an asset
  • Must have a good technical aptitude and ability to communicate effectively
  • Must have strong ability to plan, organize work and understand established policy and procedure for the work area
  • Must have the ability and willingness to learn the required skills for the position and must be willing to work rotating shifts and perform overtime work as required
  • Proven excellent safety and attendance record
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment

This position will take place at the Cripple Creek & Victor mine site located in Colorado.
