Your Role

To safely and efficiently operate the leaching circuits and systems in support of process operations.
Comply with State and Federal safety and environmental regulations and Newmont policies and procedures.

Essential Duties

Perform all Tech 1 duties proficiently.
Employees will perform other duties as directed and needed by the company to ensure optimal safe operation.
Install heap leach piping and perform basic leaching operations with assistance.
Able to recognize equipment or systems operating outside normal ranges.
Only operate equipment or systems for which training has been provided.
Perform all pre-shift, pre-op and workplace inspections as required.
Communicate all pertinent information during shift as required.
Follow good housekeeping practices.
Complete all necessary paperwork in a complete and timely manner.

Training & Experience

0-1 year previous heap leach experience.
Previous mining experience preferred but not required.
Mobile equipment experience preferred but not required.
Trained and passed circuit test for at Basic Leach Pad Operator Circuit within 120 days of hiring date (refer to Line of Progression system for details).

Working Conditions

Mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Workers in this position are routinely exposed to conditions at various work sites throughout this range of elevations.
Weather conditions can and do change frequently, and can become severe at times.
Ability to complete work tasks while exposed to weather conditions / elevation.
Arrive at work site with appropriate gear suitable for weather conditions.
Able to work as a productive member of a team.

The salary range offered for this role is $. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
