We are currently recruiting for Trades Assistants within our Mobile Maintenance Team

 

The Trades Assistant is responsible for providing mechanical support to all trades personnel working on the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) fleet, along with the maintenance of the supporting infrastructure and fixed assets. The Trades Assistant is required to ensure maintenance activities are completed in a safe, efficient and effective manner, maximising the amount of scheduled maintenance and minimising the impact of unscheduled works through quality and effective workmanship

 

The role:

  • Ensuring all works are completed in a safe manner and in compliance with established safe work procedures and systems. (i.e. Field Level Risk Assessments, Job Hazard Analysis, Permits)
  • Identifying resources required to complete maintenance works
  • Assisting trades in the diagnose and rectification of unscheduled maintenance faults
  • Cleaning of machinery, components and subparts and general maintenance of the workshop facility and other fixed assets
  • Assist in the operation of the tool store, supervision of contract personnel, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and effectively
  • Complete daily work orders with supporting comments, drawings or photographs as required.

 

About you:

  • C-Class drivers licence
  • Current Forklift Ticket.
  • Exposure to Heavy Mobile Equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience in an open pit and workshop environment
