The Village/Site Services Team covers a wide area of site and is responsible for a vast range of support infrastructure. This includes the accommodation village, the mine site and all associated infrastructure, the community information centre, and the town houses.
As a Trade Assistant within the team, responsibilities will include supporting trades people execute tasks and complete general maintenance duties within the accommodation village and general site area which may include buildings and other support infrastructure such as roads, parking areas and signage.

The position works a 5/2 & 4/3 roster.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensuring all works are completed in a safe manner and in compliance with established safe work procedures and systems.
- Understanding and identifying resources required to complete maintenance works.
- Responding to unscheduled maintenance work so that impact on the operation is minimised.
- Identification of opportunities to improve maintenance in areas of control or exposure
- Contribute to site safety management/programmes/improvements.
- Contribute to the safe and productive improvements of processes and practices within your work area.
- A good working relationship is required with all levels of management/supervision around the NBG village/ site due to the wide area of exposure for Village/ Site Services
- To foster professional working relationships with all external stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors
About you
- Skills across a broad range of building trades and maintenance practices, including carpentry, plastering and painting.
- Prior experience in a similar mining type role
- Mechanical knowledge of pumps, piping, and flow systems.
- Knowledge of WA Mining Regulations.
- Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
- First Aid, working at heights and confined space certificate
- High Risk Licence for EWP, Forklift
- Experience using SAP software
- Computer skills with Excel and similar software for records information.
- Skid Steer and Excavator ticket
