Tool Store Officer - (HME)

About The Role:

 

You will be responsible for the maintenance of an efficient, safe and secure tool store facility, ensuring a high level of tool availability and customer satisfaction. 

 

Key responsibilities are:

 

  • Maintain distribution and collection of Tool Store equipment via an electronic booking system on a shift basis.
  • Maintain and update personnel register and tooling stored within the Tool Store electronic database.
  • Record and report on damaged and/or lost tooling on a weekly basis
  • Order replacement tooling for damaged and unserviceable tooling
  • Report on tool hires and communicate to Asset Maintenance Supervisors on a daily basis
  • Order, maintain and report consumable stock levels in the tool store via SAP
  • Keep calibrations and tagging up to date for all required tooling.
  • Achieve and maintain a ‘5S’ housekeeping standard in the tool store. This includes the area in front of the tool store
  • Repair of out of service tools
  • Enter personal time confirmation information into SAP on a daily basis
  • Accountability for return of autonomous haulage protective devices at the end of each shift, ie A-Stop, two way.
  • Maintain consumables stock levels in vending machine, re-stocking at the end of every shift ready for on-coming crew
     

 Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

 

  • Excellent ability to communicate (orally, writing and reading) in English
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • To manage time effectively, be task orientated and able to set goals
  • High attention to detail whilst maintaining an organisational perspective
  • Current Western Australian C Driver’s Licence
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel,  and Outlook are preferred
  • Experience with Tool Store duties and operations desirable
  • Min 2 years’ experience in similar role
  • Numerical accuracy
  • SAP knowledge (tradesperson level).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Sound knowledge of slinging, lifting and working at heights equipment inspection regimes
  • Experience working in mining operations highly regarded
