About the role 

As part of the Mobile Maintenance Team, you will work closely with mine maintenance and site services in establishing the optimum methods for completing maintenance tasks and detailing the methods in a standardised format. The process will include a detailed job safety assessment to ensure hazards are identified and appropriately managed. There will be close liaison with the trade work group, and maintenance engineering team. 

 

What you will be doing 

  • Proactively familiarise yourself with the variety of equipment and tooling used on site 
  • Collecting information and input on how the job could be done safely and efficiently. This will include: 
  • Discussions with Engineers, Supervisors, Planners, Tradespeople, contractors, original equipment manufacturers and suppliers. 
  • Reviewing existing materials including engineering documents, vendor manuals, photos, and standard work procedures. 
  • Attendance on the job site if the equipment is being worked on for this or similar tasks. 
  • Produce safe, effective documentation that complies with mining regulations and relevant NBG standards. 
  • Understand and follow the relevant document review and approval procedures 
  • Revise & update STP’s (Standard task procedures) as requested and update the revision and document database. 
  • Provide SWPs for link/upload to SAP complete with all required data and information. 

 

About you 

  • Several years relevant experience in a trade's maintenance or technical writing role 
  • Knowledge of, and commitment to, current safety principles and practices in heavy industrial maintenance. 
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, reasonable keyboard skills, and a natural proficiency with the English language.  
  • Willingness to take on tasks outside of role requirements to assist in achieving team goals. 
  • Dedication to high standards of work performance and behaviour, and high output quality.
