About the role

As a Mine Control Supervisor at Newmont, you will oversee the effective operations of the Control Room Team by providing support and regular engagement with the team.

 

Your Skills Checklist

  • Previous experience in a Mine Control Supervisor position or extensive experience in a Mine Controller, Builder or Pit (Field) Builder position
  • Advanced user of Autonomous Hauling operating systems
  • Experience using Command/MineStar – desirable
  • Current Quarry Manager Ticket – desirable
  • Strong leadership and team building ability
  • Proficient in computer operation and application
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting schedules
  • Approachable and results oriented
  • Competent written and verbal communicator
  • Previous experience in a high tonnage open pit operation

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage appropriate crew numbers and allocation of resources to achieve planned outcomes and execution of daily mine plan
  • Manage team performance to ensure KPIs are delivered through providing coaching and regular feedback
  • Engage with Site Stakeholders to ensure team expectations are being met
  • Facilitate training and development of team.

Delivery of the fleet has commenced and with trials in the Autonomous Operating Zone scheduled for Q1, 2021, now is the time to join Newmont and be part of mining history as the project comes to fruition in Q3, 2021.
