About The Role
  • Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer?
  • Do you have large scale processing plant experience?

As a technical specialist, you will provide advice and support to the Process Area Dry and Wet Plant Superintendents, Supervisors and Maintenance personnel for the resolution and improvement of equipment performance, maintenance issues and asset integrity.

In This Role You Will:
  • Lead Equipment and Maintenance improvement Projects.
  • Support, plan and handle (as the need arises) equipment overhauls.
  • Ensure that all statutory requirements are met for the ongoing operation and maintenance of equipment in the process plant and associated areas.
  • Provide technical feedback and support on the resolution of equipment warranty issues.
  • Facilitate and participate in root cause investigations into equipment failures as required.
  • Provide technical feedback and participate in developing Condition Monitoring System for critical equipment and machinery.
  • Resolve complex technical and warranty issues, improving the reliability and maintainability of plant
  • Coordination of maintainability improvement initiatives working alongside reliability and site engineers and external vendors.
Your Skills, Training & Experience Checklist:
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years post graduate experience.
  • Significant engineering experience with in a large scale complex processing plant specifically Primary and secondary Crushers, Mills, HPGRs, Conveyors, Flotation, Thickeners, Presses, Pumps, Pressure Vessels, Cranes etc.
  • Strong maintenance knowledge and experience including Precision alignment and fitment, Hydraulic systems, lubrication, materials selection, Maintenance management systems, CM Systems and techniques.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects in accordance with the full project life cycle including concept, design, fabrication, construction, testing and commissioning whilst handling schedules, budgets and quality requirements
