As part of the multidisciplinary Site Services team, you will be accountable for all maintenance responsibilities of Newmont Boddington Gold’s (NBG) Drinking Water Quality Management Plan and ensuring the site is compliant to Australian Drinking Water Guidelines at all times.


What you will be doing

  • Maintenance and repair of drinking / waste water equipment across site
  • Oversee the coordination of the Classified Plant statutory work for the Mine Operational area
  • Oversee day-to-day contract works such as compressor servicing for the Mine Operational areas across the site
  • Maintenance of workshop facilities and equipment
  • Support project work as required
  • Ensure safe work procedures and practices are followed and assist with development of new procedures as required
  • Ensure contractors and contract works are carried out safely, efficiently and effectively
  • Contribute to site safety management/programmes/improvements
  • Consistently report all safety and environmental incidents, and ensure all hazards within the work area are identified and addressed
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in the performance of equipment and processes under the responsibility of Site Services


About you

  • A Mechanical or Fabrication Trade with experience and knowledge in the maintenance of Drinking and Waste Water Treatment Plants
  • “HR” Class Drivers Licence and High Risk License for EWP and Forklift
  • Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
  • Accountable for completing duties in a manner that will minimise risk and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel within areas of influence
  • A personal commitment to safety, and environmental and social responsibility practices
  • Demonstrated high standard of efficiency, safety and effectiveness
  • Committed to raising, discussing and resolving safety, environmental and social responsibility issues at regular meetings.
  • Contractor management experience
