An exciting opportunity exists to be part of the Phoenix/Lone Tree leadership team with responsibility for: Site Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, as well as engaging with support activities at the site is available.

Essential Duties

  • Safety leader: adhere to and champion safety and environmental rules and procedures, as well as safety management programs (Inspections, audits, task observations, vital behaviors, risk analysis)
  • Accountable for providing and guidance to the engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure safe, productive, and efficient operations.
  • Develop and direct strategies for the Mine Team from daily to LOM planning period which entails: mine tonnage requirements, grade estimates, ounce estimates, equipment requirements, personnel requirements, supply requirements, and budget/cost estimates.
  • Provide the leadership and communication necessary to guide the  team in meeting set key performance indicators (KPI’s) target.
  • Establish and maintain good rapport and communications with other departments and key stakeholders to ensure common goals are identified and reached.
  • Manage and optimize operation to maximize production, drive efficiencies, and minimize operating costs.
  • Lead the teams in achieving operating targets through continuous improvement.
  • Accountable for the actions and behaviors of your team.
  • Lead and manage the mining team by clearly defining expectations of the mining staff’s roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to direct reports in leadership techniques to achieve maximum performance.

Training & Experience

  • Master's degree and fifteen (15) years experience preferred; Bachelor's degrees and eighteen (18) years experience; or twenty (20) years mining experience.
  • Keen business sense toward maximizing cash flow, maximizing net asset value, minimizing unit costs, and maximizing earnings.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership techniques and performance achievements.
  • Detailed oriented, adoptable, and energetic with key focus on continuous improvement.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work under pressure and be able to multi task.
  • Strong business acumen, technical sense and vision to drive change.
  • Exceptional communication skills in the area of: presentations, written, listening, providing feedback and speaking.
  • Interpersonal skills to assist in public relations, including interacting with city, county, state and Native American officials.
