Essential Duties

  • Provide process plant support to maintain and improve unit processes by working directly with Metallurgical Technicians, Process Operators, Mechanics, and Electricians.
  • Support Process Operations Management with technical suggestions and guidance on mineral processing circuits, such as: comminution, pressure oxidation, leaching, carbon stripping and regeneration, and refining.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
  • Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities. Engineer and devise new approaches to problems encountered.
  • Plan, manage and conduct surveys, tests, or investigations, interpret results, and prepare recommendations, summaries, schedules, and cost estimates; meet with representatives of other departments to coordinate planning and scheduling activities.
  • Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but includes a large variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

Training & Experience

  • Minimum requirement: B.S. degree in Metallurgican or Chemical Engineering and 1+ years of experience is necessary.
  • Requires technical written and oral communication skills.
