This position reports directly to the Frontline Supervisor.
Purpose
- Is responsible for their health and safety as well as others.
- Will correct or report unsafe practices or conditions.
- Maintains a safe and healthy place to work.
- Make suggestions to improve any aspect of safety and correct issues wherever possible.
- Will understand and follow Newmont policies and procedures as outlined in the FRM handbook.
- Learns and follows the safety rules and procedures for safe performance of the job.
Essential Duties
- Must be able to safely operate (licensed) mobile equipment including grader, fuel truck, and other service & utility vehicles, forklifts, Haul Truck, boom trucks.
- Deliver fuel to designated areas
- Grade roadways underground as required
- Other duties as assigned by the Frontline Supervisor
Training & Experience
- High School Diploma
- Underground Common Core Certificate
- U0013 Operate Lifting Mechanism(s)
- U0014 Operate Fork Lift
- U0022 Operate Grader
- U0024 Operate Utility Vehicle
- U0091 Operate Haulage Truck
- Minimum of two (2) – three (3) years mining experience
- Experience as a Service Person or outside equivalent
Working Conditions
- This job is located at Hoyle Pond, part of Newmont's Porcupine mine site near Timmins, ON.
- In this role you will work a 5x5x4 schedule, as such if you do not live in the area, we will require relocation.
