Purpose

We are seeking a motivated Production Geologist to join our team, reporting to the Production Geology Supervisors

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective grade control of the underground mine
  • Perform sampling and mapping of underground headings and associated reporting
  • Liaise with Engineering and Mining Departments to optimize grade control and operational efficiency
  • Provide information for daily, weekly and monthly reporting
  • Perform interpretation and modeling of lithology and mineralogy
  • Design and manage delineation drilling programs
  • Interpret geological data and model deposits
  • Log diamond drill core as required

Requirements

  • 4-year B.Sc. degree in Geology, or equivalent
  • 2 - 5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • P.Geo, or working towards designation
  • Knowledge of Deswik, Vulcan and Acquire software an asset
  • Strong analytical and organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening, presentation)
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry and push 75 lbs
  • Ability to frequently reach below and at-shoulder level
  • Strong commitment to working in a safe, socially-responsible manner
  • Experience working in a culturally diverse environment

Working Conditions

The work schedule for this position is 14 days on, 14 days off, working 12-hour days.
