Newmont Australian Operations are located in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, and New South Wales with roles in operations, projects, and exploration.  Regional Support is provided from our offices in Subiaco and Melbourne.

The Role:

The Bogger Operator, under the Development Supervisor's direction, operates the bogger to transfer and load blasted materials onto trucks or stockpiles as per the designated plans and requirements. This process must be conducted safely and efficiently. The operator also collaborates with the mine controller to fulfill truck requirements and maintain accurate activity records.

Operators are to handle and service equipment following Newmont Plant's procedures, Operation & Maintenance protocols, and fault reporting systems. They must visually check materials, machinery, and the work area for any defects or damage, reporting any issues immediately to the supervisor and maintenance team. Appropriate signage and barricading (Warning/Hazard) must be utilized consistently.

Before beginning bogging operations, operators should water headings and dry materials, perform scaling operations according to site procedures and ensure proper ventilation is maintained. Keep roads and loading bays in operational areas to a high standard.

About You:

  • Experience in underground bogging
  • In-depth knowledge, skills, and experience in underground mining practices
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Proven commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Holder of a valid Australian Driver's License
  • Established history of contributing to team outcomes

Working Conditions

The position operates on a FIFO roster of 7 days on, 7 nights on, followed by 14 days off. Authorized departure locations include Darwin, Alice Springs, Perth, and Brisbane.
