The Reliability Mechanic is part of the Process Department's maintenance team. The incumbent is responsible for the performance of predictive maintenance on the mill's various equipment. The daily tasks will include use of predictive tools and analysis of the results. 

Essential Duties

  • Use predictive collection tools, such as a thermal imaging camera and vibration data collector, and analyze the data. 
  • Optimize the predictive and preventive maintenance programs. 
  • Own and optimize the vibration monitoring databases and configure the equipment.  
  • Take sample of oil et analyse report 
  • Do the lubrification sequence and optimize listing equipment needed grease 
  • Doing maintenance task 
  • Detect the origin of an outage and establish the diagnoses. 
  • Draft reports and follow up the observations. 
  • Monitor the equipment regularly with the history and continuous vibration monitoring tools.  
  • Perform precision corrective maintenance following recommendations, such as rotor balancing and equipment alignment. 
  • Ensure that the workplaces are clean and safe at all times in compliance with the 5S standard. 
  • Participate in the development of maintenance procedures with the maintenance crew. 
  • Comply with and apply the work and occupational health and safety procedures. 
  • Participate in the Department's health and safety activities. 
  • Report any incident/accident to his/her supervisor. 
  • All other tasks related to the performance of his/her duties.


  • Diploma of College or Vocational Studies in Industrial Mechanics 
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant experience 

Valid driver's licence


  • Teamwork in a multicultural environment

  • Ease with IT and the Windows environment 
  • Training in vibration analysis and thermography is an advantage 

Work Schedule

  • Schedule : 14 days of work followed by 14 days off
