Purpose

The primary focus for this role is on safety of all maintenance activities. Full engagement in the Fatality Risk Management and Elimination of Live Work.  Accomplish with environment policy, ethics and Newmont values (Safety, Integrity, Sustainability, Inclusion and Responsibility).

930E Truck Leader has the responsibility to assign and coordinate all activities for preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance according to plan and schedule and operation needs. The role provides leadership, direction, and coordination to execute all maintenance activities on shop and field.

This role is responsible for compliance with Peñasquito’s Asset Management System.

Responsibilities

Promoting a culture where Safety emphasizes personal awareness and responsibility

Ensuring safe maintenance practices, systems, and processes are applicable and comply with Government regulations and Peñasquito and Newmont policies/standards. Ensuring compliance to the Collective Bargaining Agreement in a fair and consistent manner. Ensuring the MOS is executed to meet the company’s business objectives. Promoting a work environment that provides leadership, mentoring, and motivates subordinates and facilitates cooperation among diverse work groups. Providing clear direction and expectations to maintenance work groups regarding planned and scheduled proactive and performance managed maintenance practices. Assessing and implementing training needs of employees. Promoting open communications throughout the department and with other work groups. Instill a culture of employee ownership in equipment care and operation. Proactively assign preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance processes. Monitoring and managing area maintenance costs. Optimizing resource utilization of personnel, time, and equipment and supplies. Participating in audits of maintenance management program elements and KPI’s.

Requirements

930E Truck Leader must have knowledge on speed control AC and DC motors, electricity generation,  IGBT and GTO inverters, capacitors, choppers, and handle test instruments like megger, oscilloscope. Experience on medium range voltage 1600V, diagnostic software, diagrams interpretation. Experience on components maneuvers over 25 tons. The 930E truck Leader must have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Demonstrated commitment to Safety
  • Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Strategic, conceptual, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and team leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill
  • Strong work ethic and be self-motivated.
  • Competent computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS.)

Professional Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Mechatronics or equivalent work experience.
