About this role

This is a leadership position responsible for architecture and crafting of a large scale, complex system integration projects.

In this role you will
  • Provides leadership and oversight of Cloud & Infrastructure Teams
  • Lead cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure and GCP)
  • Responsible for Global Infrastructure Design and Operations (Virtualization, Compute, Storage)
  • Participate in design activities, record engineering decisions made during the design sessions, validate that infrastructure development is within the budget constraints of program plan
  • Design infrastructure to increase the efficiency of operations, active monitoring, and alerting
  • Constantly evaluate new solutions to help in infrastructure cost containment or reduction
  • Identify, analyze, and provide recommendations and solutions for high-priority applications, and coordinate and conduct working groups with the right participants (North America or International) to address any given initiative
  • Implement infrastructure projects and transition rollout to an infrastructure support team
  • Lead the effort to build an elastic infrastructure (cloud based, flexible based on infrastructure usage)
Your training, skills & experience

 

Knowledge:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Strong knowledge of contracting, negotiating, organization development, change management, technology trends, strategic planning, and management required for successful performance.
  • Solid understanding of Mining Operations and Processing.
  • Deep understanding of project financial management: budget reporting, control, and forecasting.
  • Overall understanding of the objectives and functions of the Company, business divisions and departments serviced by IT.


Experience:

 

  • University Degree or Technical Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in technical Architectural role.
  • 5+ years of supervisor/leadership in service or data center operations.
  • 4+ years project management.
  • Driven leader, with a pro-active and strategic vision of IT service delivery.
  • Strong IT knowledge and understanding with deep skills in IT operations, customer relationship management and outsourcing vendor relationship management.
  • Wide and detailed knowledge of technology areas including Microsoft Servers, Network Storage, Networks, Firewalls, Microsoft Desktops, Citrix, Server Virtualization.
  • Skilled at issue resolution.
  • Solid understanding of service level agreements and metrics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with subordinates, colleagues, clients and customers at all levels.
  • Ability to optimally plan and control projects.
  • Has an overall understanding of the objectives and functions of the company, business units and departments serviced by IT.
  • Good communicator with exceptional people, team and facilitation skills.
  • Good organizational, strategic/tactical planning and team/project management experience.
  • Ability to gain respect from work force from operating areas.
  • Cost and budget control.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, previous leadership, management and supervisory experience, and the ability to achieve results through others.
  • Adept at managing teams of employees and vendors in a matrix environment and from multiple cultures.
  • Ability to identify problems, make decisions, create solutions, and take action.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with an attention to detail and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Influences business through improved understanding of technology issues, balances challenging priorities within business organizations and across IT functional groups.

 

Working conditions and location
  • Position is located in the Denver (Greenwood Village) Corporate office.
  • Position may be required to travel to, and assist other domestic and international sites.
