About this role

 

  • Are you team oriented and passionate about solving complex problems
  • The role provides technical expertise in the support of global processing technology solutions.
  • Defines and executes support  for process plant  for the regions and set direction, governance and control for internal and external support team member.
  • Enables effective technology related processing plant support through efficient processes and automation, which meets or exceeds service level performance expectations
  • Executes IT strategy through effective resource management, initiation, budget, capability assessment, project initiation/execution, competency development, information technology consulting, business process consulting, infrastructure creation consulting, program management, effective task processes, facilitation, mentoring, and coaching
  • Utilizes knowledge to deploy solutions on-premise and cloud-based solutions as requirements dictate
In this role you will

 

  • Accountability for execution of the process plant technology support model within the Newmont Goldcorp technology environment – efficiently balancing value, cost, performance and delivery to meet or exceed agreed service level expectations
  • Works proactively and responds to requests from site, region and corporate operations and OT-BI team to support the performance and improve the efficiency to deployed process plant technologies
  • Develop sustainment models for IT aspects of technology systems for entire product lifecycles, planning for upgrades, updates changes and improvements
  • Support global strategic partnerships with key vendors as required to optimize IT support services, strategy, licensing for enterprise solutions
  • Assist in the information technology road maps to achieve long term process plant technology strategy and value delivery while maintaining the agility to adapt to emerging digital trends
  • Develops competency and training requirements for OT support personnel to provide relevancy, progression and overall improvements of skills and knowledge of team members aligned with business requirements.
  • Strike balance in deployment of technology on-premise and cloud based systems to effectively lead production and development solutions. Evaluate options for migration to cloud where historian and data analytics opportunities exist to enhance the business capabilities

Your training, skills & experience checklist

 

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Business Management or related field, MBA would be desirable.
  • Must possess deep knowledge of one of the following: Mining Technology, Mineral Processing Technology, Automation, Computer Technology.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP, Microsoft products, data management systems and controls.
  • Understand database design and interface logic (API’s).

Experience:

  • Minimum 15years of relevant technical experience in mining, or industrial control.
  • Site based mining, construction, utilities or other heavy industry experience is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Clearly value teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to drive a successful outcome through impact and influence
  • Must have ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word and Excel applications
  • Strong PC skills using MS office software
Working conditions and location

 

  • The position will sit in the Greenwood Village, CO Corporate Office.
  • Travel as the need arises, both domestic and internationally. Maintain valid travel documents, allowing unrestricted travel to and from USA.
