We are seeking a detail oriented, committed problem solver with strong communication skills who will provide business planning process support and BPC System support (financial planning system).

Essential Duties


  • Lead and analyze the data and assumptions that drive forecast/plan results.
  • Track and analyze Newmont Goldcorp and peer organization external guidance.
  • Perform conventional planning practices including researching and analyzing trends.
  • Build/Maintain presentations, spreadsheets, reports, or other metric oriented tools.
  • Communicate and support the forecast and planning process as well as analytical results effectively in both verbal and written form to Planning leadership and other functional teams.
  • Perform BPC System support such as researching, documenting or updating basic functionality such as: Input schedules, master data, and calculation logic. Five applications make up the BPC System for Business Planning including: Operating Expense, Manpower, Projects, Stats, and Planning.
  • Support development, implementation and testing of BPC system improvements.
  • Support regional planning teams based at operational sites with planning process and BPC application support and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate information, resources and compile data from multiple sources, sites and/or functions.

Training & Experience


  • Undergraduate degree required (preferably Accounting or Finance).
  • 1-2 years’ financial analysis or accounting experience (mining or extraction related industry a plus).
  • 1-2 years’ financial/accounting systems experience (preferably BPC or other multi-dimensional systems).
  • Strong analytic and synthesis skills; conceptual understanding of financial data and the basic application of accounting principles.
  • Strong MS Excel skills, including complex financial modeling and other tools development.
  • Requires acumen in accounting, finance and planning concepts and methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate and present information required –translate financial and data driven information into presentations.
Working Conditions


  • The position will sit in the Greenwood Village, CO Corporate Office.
  • Position may require travel to, and assist, other domestic and international sites.
  • Willingness to put in extra hours as projects and priorities dictate.
