What will you be responsible for?

Lead the preparation, review and issuance of the Company’s internally issued financial reports in a high pace and multifaceted environment.

Essential Duties

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:

  •  We handle the completion, review, and issuance of monthly internal reports and analysis to executive leadership - including budget to actual variance commentary to explain performance drivers and the impact to key metrics (production and direct cost analysis, financial results analysis, margin analysis, corporate support cost analysis, etc.).
  • We are responsible for the monthly and quarterly board reporting process for all of Finance - including coordinating the delivery of materials to executive leadership and Legal.
  • We coordinate monthly and quarterly deliverables with executive leadership, Legal, Investor Relations, Tax, Regional Finance groups, and any other departments as vital.
  • We perform operating result analysis and respond to inquiries made by the executive and regional leadership - including the development of new reports and analysis
  • We are responsible for the BPC report library and report training for financial analysis - providing the Finance organization, Regional CFOs, and Regional Controllers with vital reporting tools and training.
  • We review SEC disclosure of quarterly filings - including MD&A, Non-GAAP financial metrics and Operating Statistics for investors.
  • We run ongoing coordination with the Planning Department to ensure consistent reporting and assist in the review of Budget, Forecast and other forward-looking information.
  • We are responsible for the internal reporting process and report improvements - including gathering partner feedback, crafting mockup reports for executives, ensuring consistent branding and execution, and crafting training materials to ensure that executive leadership is receiving accurate and impactful information each month.
  • We perform other tasks to support the Finance organization - including supporting Investor Relations and external messaging, handling the Corporate Budget process for Finance, and leading other ad hoc projects on Accounting’s behalf (projects with Planning, Business Improvement, etc).
  • We assist with the implementation and maintenance of information systems and processes that support effective and timely financial reporting.

Training & Experience

Here is what we would need to see from you!


  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance or related field
  • Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP), as well as SEC rules and regulations
  • CPA / advanced degree preferred


  • Minimum 8 years of combined public accounting and/or industry accounting and reporting experience
  • Mining, construction, utilities or other heavy shown experience is required

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong ability to prioritize and coordinate effectively in a high pace environment
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skill
  • Must have ability to effectively apply Microsoft Word and Excel applications
  • Strong PC skills using MS office software
  • SAP / BPC experience preferred
  • PowerBI, Tableau or other similar experience, nice to have
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • High level of motivation, requiring minimal direction/supervision, and outspoken diplomacy vital

Position may be required to travel to, and assist other domestic and international sites

The salary range offered for this role is $98,400 to 129,150. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.  The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.   

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
