E&I Programmer, Process Maintenance - CC&V

Purpose

Get your hands on Newmont's cutting edge Electrical Instrumentation Technology. Help improve productivity, efficiency and quality by brining your E&I skill set to our Team. The E&I Programmer will be responsible for troubleshooting the electrical, PLC, PC data acquisition systems.

Essential Duties
  • Lead by example, in all Newmont Goldcorp's safety and environmental practices, ensuring complete safe practices;
  • Manage and ensure strict compliance and ethical behavior with state and federal regulations in all aspects of the business;
  • Troubleshoot/repair equipment or components.
  • Perform systems analysis to made changes/modifications to the system.
  • Assist in installation and updates of PLCs, test equipment and computers;
  • Install and update programmable controls and computer terminal wiring;
  • Use a variety of test and diagnostic equipment to perform troubleshooting, alignments, calibrations, and check outs;
  • Create, comment and maintain latest ladder logic revisions of current equipment inventory;
  • Work on assignments with little or no documentation or procedures;
  • Interface and work directly with engineering and management.

Training & Experience
  • Must have 5+ years relevant work experience
  • Thorough knowledge of machine design and operation (Electrical power distribution);
  • Knowledge of Rockwell Automation platforms (ContolLogix, Devicenet, RSView, PanelView, Micrologix, RSLogix, SLC500.
  • Knowledge of Factory Talk SE 6.0/6.1 applications (FactoryTalk Studio using LinxEnterprise, FTHistorian, PldataBases, FactoryTalk AssetCentre
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
