Working closely with the Process Maintenance Team you will be responsible for the delivery of an efficient, safe, and secure tool store facility, ensuring a high level of tool availability and customer satisfaction.

 

You will be someone who can schedule resource allocation, prioritise workload and manage varying time constraints with a positive approach.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Maintain distribution and collection of Tool Store equipment via an electronic booking system.
  • Maintain and update personnel and tooling records within the database.
  • Record and report on damaged and/or lost tooling on a weekly basis
  • Report on tool hires and communicate to Asset Maintenance Supervisors daily
  • Order, maintain and report consumable stock levels in the tool store via SAP
  • Achieve and maintain a ‘5S’ housekeeping standard in the tool store and surrounding areas.
  • Repair of out of service tools
  • Drive personnel bus to and from the village, maintain bus cleanliness and complete pre-starts daily
  • Maintain high standards of performance and adopt a proactive approach to occupational health and safety issues.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies and practices.
  • Report all observed safety incidents and hazards and recommend improvements
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with the Newmont Standards and procedures
  • Minimise wastage of consumable materials
  • Participate in environmental awareness activities including minimisation of wastage, correct disposal of consumables as required and reporting Environmental issues
  • Demonstrate personal commitment in regard to safety, and environmental and Social Responsibility practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by constantly looking for opportunities to improve work practices and procedures

 

About You

You will be an effective communicator and listener who approaches interactions positively and respectfully, completing all tasks diligently, and contribute to the positive, open, and friendly culture within the maintenance teams. Your sound literacy and numeracy skills, ability to manage time, prioritise workloads, focus on tasks and a high attention to detail will all be required to succeed in this position. Ideally you can work independently within a dynamic and multifunctional team.

 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Western Australian MR Driver’s Licence with F class endorsement.
  • SAP,  Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
  • Prior experience in supply/warehousing.
  • Numerical accuracy knowledge.
  • Sound knowledge of slinging, lifting and working at heights equipment inspection regimes.
  • Experience working in mining operations highly regarded.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively on all tasks allocated.
