About This Role

 

 

We are looking for a motivated Accommodation Maintenance Supervisor to facilitate the daily supervision of Newmont Goldcorp Boddington’s accommodation maintenance team, contractors and suppliers. You will have the opportunity to identify, propose, plan and execute improvement ideas within the accommodation asset portfolio with the primary focus being on resident and tenant satisfaction. You will be responsible for the 2301 rooms and associated infrastructure within the Newmont Boddington Village, and the 31 properties that make up the Boddington town house group.

 

In This Role You Will

 

 

  • Perform maintenance works in line within Newmont Safety Standards and all Statutory and Regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance professionals to ensure the successful completion of outcomes
  • Oversee the daily maintenance tasks in conjunction with the Accommodation Maintenance Planner
  • Identify and develop work practices, processes and procedures for the Accommodation Maintenance Team
  • Assist in the preparation of the financial budget and forecast for the Accommodation Assets
  • Directly accountable for the monthly Accommodation Maintenance Expenditure, reporting overspends to the and Superintendent Accommodation & Site Access
  • Identify cost saving initiatives or work practice efficiencies within the department and team
  • Preparing scope of works for external contractor works as required
  • Build and preserve internal and external relationships with all stakeholders

 

 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

 

 

  • Trade or Professional Qualification in Building, Equipment Maintenance, Electrical or similar with a minimum of 5 years post trade experience preferably in Mining or Village Services.
  • Between 3 and 5 years’ experience supervising a team made up of your own staff as well as contractors.
  • Experience in the maintenance of buildings and equipment commonly installed in a mining environment – specifically accommodation villages and associated infrastructure.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Suite and a solid operating knowledge of SAP
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills

 

 

Ideally you will also have experience in the maintenance of domestic residential properties, project management, and be a motivated self-starter with a desire to achieve successful outcomes with a team.

Work Conditions and Location

 

 

  • This role is on a 5/2:4/3 roster (5 days on site, 2 days off, 4 days on site, 3 days off) working a 40 hour week.
  • The role is based from the Newmont Goldcorp Boddington Accommodation Village
