What you will be doing

Reporting to the Supervisor – Mine Maintenance Hauling & Ancillary, you will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of electrical systems and components on NBG’s Heavy Mobile Equipment Fleet, maximising the amount of scheduled maintenance and minimising the impact of unscheduled works.  You will ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently and effectively.


Who you are

You will have an Auto Electrical trade qualification working in a large open pit mine and workshop environment.  As a minimum requirement, you will have a current C class manual driver’s licence, Caterpillar SIS and VIMS experience and basic computer skills.  It is also essential to have experience in the maintenance of the following Caterpillar equipment:

  • 793D & F Haul Trucks
  • D10 & 11 Track Dozers
  • 994 Wheel Loaders
  • 854 Wheel Dozers
  • 16H, 24H & 24M Graders


Ideally, you will also have a MR Class Driver’s Licence, a High Risk Licence (crane, rigging, dogging, forklift, elevated work platform), SAP experience, and Senior First Aid Certificate.


You will demonstrate your commitment to safety and use your experience and judgement to ensure yourself and your workmates stay safe.  Your ability to set good examples of work ethic and integrity together with your positive mind set in dealing with work and people will be highly regarded.
