  • Project management of biodiversity offset sites to meet statutory obligations and biodiversity outcomes, including coordinating inputs from business partners and preparing reports.
  • Identify and assess options to meet biodiversity offset obligations giving consideration to statutory requirements, risk, time and cost implications.
  • Weekly field checks and supervision of works at the biodiversity offset areas.
  • Proactively engage with internal partners to seamlessly integrate environmental considerations into all operational activities.
  • Conduct environmental training and awareness programs, work area inspections, contractor management engagement and report (and investigate) environmental incidents.

About You

  • Sound understanding of WA and Commonwealth legislation relevant to mining.
  • Working knowledge of flora and fauna studies and/or biodiversity offsets management plans and implementation
  • An enthusiastic can do attitude to engage in fieldwork to manage planting and seeding activities, invasive species control, and fauna and flora surveys
  • Effective communication skills to listen, consult and negotiate.
